The Song-A-Week Social Group

Welcome! Every week we'll have an official Tune of the Week. This will be a great way to learn new songs, show off skills, and see others at work. Our plan is to incorporate different genres & skill levels. We also accept submissions of tunes other than the Song of the Week. If you've got a favorite tune, please submit it, with the name of the tune as the subject of a new discussion. Or, if you've got a request for a tune, please submit it in a new discussion, with the request in the subject line. Search through the different tunes already posted, and please submit your videos & mp3's on any tunes posted, whether it's a song of the week, or one of the other tunes! In addition to posting videos, we love chatting, too, so talk about whatever's on your mind! We have several 'TABLE of CONTENTS' discussions with links to the discussions. These should be near the top of our discussions. If not, use the 'SEACH' function to find them!

Ozark Mandolins - N.W. Arkansas

Mandolin Musicians and those who simply love to soak up the charming voice of a mandolin in the Ozark region: NW Arkansas, SW Missouri, NE Oklahoma, & SE Kansas. There seemed to be a shortage of mandolin groups in this region. I now am teaching mandolin in NW Arkansas, and I created this name for my group of new students. I am hoping that interest will grow and we will have many mandolinists before long. In the spring and fall, there are musicians that pick and grin on the old downtown square of Bentonville and Fayetteville.
