Here is my rendition of the tune Porthole of the Kelp, the coolest reel in D minor to play on the mandolin !
What a great tune and you play it so well, Tergal.
Thank you John !
Great stuff, and yet another tune to learn - so many tunes, so little time!!
Sounds great, Tergal. Rock-solid playing as usual, and you pull a lovely rich tone out of that Collings. I guess I think of this as a D Dorian tune, rather than D minor. I sometimes play it with Tuttle's Reel, another tune I associate with Bobby Casey: https://thesession.org/tunes/528 Bob Michel Near Philly
Very nice. Thanks!
