This is an English Country Dance tune in 6/8 time from the 7th Edition of Playford's Dancing Master from 1670. My recording is based on a concertina arrangement by Michel Van Der Meiren, which I have adapted to a mandolin quartet of two mandolins, tenor guitar and mandocello: http://www.tangosite.com/concertina/pub/epping-forest Played on: 1890s Umberto Ceccherini mandolin 1921 Gibson Ajr mandolin Ozark tenor guitar Suzuki MC-815 mandocello The bowlback takes the lead on the first repetition with the Gibson taking over on the second repetition. It's a fun tune, much reminiscent of certain Italian renaissance dances. Martin
