This lovely Édith Piaf tune was first released in 1947. The lyrics of the song were written by Édith Piaf herself, and the melody was composed by Marguerite Monnot and Louis Louiguy. I'm just playing it through twice on tenor guitar, quite simply, in the written key of C with acoustic guitar fingerstyle backing. Music & tab for tenor guitar, plus backing chords, can be found at: www.mjra.net/WillFly/tabs.shtml

Lovely, as always. Your vibrato is so sweet on the tenor, Will. It takes oceans of practise to make something sound so effortless!

Thank you, Francis - you're very kind. The instrument - made for me in 2009 by Ian Chisholm has a particularly sweet and projecting tone. Perfect for romantic French tunes!
