A great song by Harry Warren and Al Dubin, published in 1937 and recorded by many, many people since then. It has a very French character to me, and I've tried to get that feeling into my version, which has guitar backing (on my Martin) and tenor guitar lead (on my Ian Chisholm tenor guitar). I've pitched it in C - which fits nicely under the fingers on the tenor.
Well up to your usual standard, Will. So relaxed and flowing - just like a September (or indeed this June here in Scotland) in the rain!
Very nice job Will!
Thanks for posting.
Beautiful song Will. Fits your style perfectly.
It reminds me of Pre and Post war U.S. When life was much less stressful.
