Fitting for this time of year I think. Played in the key of D on the mandola. The first video is a little more serious. the second is purely for fun!
That's awesome! Do you know when and where the tune originated?
Bah, humbug! You've got yourself a fan there, Shaun! Playing in time under these circumstances, you'll play any stage gig with the ladies raining you with their underwear, never missing a beat
Great tune and playing, Shaun. Isn't it great to be loved.
Marcelyn, that's a Bill Monroe tune. Great playing Shaun...
....and it's on "Masters of Bluegrass." This album is out of print but you can find it here: http://maskedcucumber.blogspot.com/s.../Bill%20Monroe.
That is a killer rendition, Shaun, and right on the money!
Dawg Gone but you played that well, Shaun. Sorry, I am Scottish but could not resist that!
Fine picking on that. Going to have to learn that one for sure.
WOW that was great pickin. Love that dog!
That's a cool tune and some nice pickin' to boot but really the dog steals the show.
I've never heard this one Shaun. I Liiiike it. Thanks for sharing. Is that a new Christmas Kimble? I thought your dola was a Heiden. If the Heiden is just laying around in your way you could send it my way. Gary
Shaun, That's some fine picking on the mandola. Really enjoyed it! I'm finally back home after being on the road since September and playing catch up with some of the tunes I missed. Shaun thanks for starting this thread and bringing this great Monroe tune to my attention. I really dig this tune. You don't hear this one too often so it's been a challenge and lots of fun to learn. Hope you enjoy my attempt at it in my usual slowed down way! It's nice to be back! jamann
Excellent Jamann. Really clean and just great tone. Good to have you back. I suppose I'm going to have to learn this one now...
Great pickin' jamann! You got it down
