this is the first mandolin i have ever built . i call it my fat back cherry. still have to set up the string height and recheck for high frets and put on the strap pegs. humbucker pick ups by steve ryder. have the neck pick wired for to be either single or double and the standard front both or back three way switch. its north american cherry wood body and neck. rosewood fret board and rose wood electronics cover. tung oil and beeswax finish. plays and sounds great
Rico - Looks great! I'd love to hear it! I would love to build an electric mando myself, but don't know exactly where to start. Roger Siminoff's books cover how to build an acoustic bluegrass mandolin. If I might ask, what resources helped you? Thanks!
