Matt Flinner Trio in Salt Lake City, UT
Join the Matt Flinner Trio in the Art Gallery where “Music du Jour” was born. The trio will perform their 101st du Jour show at the Art Barn in Salt Lake City, UT on June 1 at 7:30 pm.

The Matt Flinner Trio started their long-running project in August of 2006 at this intimate art gallery on Salt Lake’s east side. Since then, they’ve performed 100 such shows around the country, and have recorded two Compass Records CDs comprised of material written for these shows ("Music du Jour" and "Winter Harvest").

Here’s how it works: the day of the show, all three members of the trio (Ross Martin, Eric Thorin and Matt Flinner) will write one new piece of music, and all three new pieces will be performed as part of that night’s concert. It is always unpredictable, and always exciting as Ross Martin, Eric Thorin and Matt Flinner continue to try to challenge each other and write fresh new music that pushes the limits of the bluegrass trio. Come be part of the 101st, as the trio moves into its next 100 “du Jour” shows!

The Art Barn is located at 54 Finch Lane (between 100 South and South Temple, and between 1300 East and University Ave) in the University area of Salt Lake City.
