Any difference in the sound of these GHS strings?

Thanks,

Haven't tried the silk and steel, but the silk and bronze were great. Really opened up my mando and didn't lose volume, I think it increased.

I think the Silk & Steel sound a little woodier, but do not seem to last as long as the Silk & Bronze. Go figure. Both are not as loud as regular bronze strings.

Exactly what Doug said above, the S&S definitely don't last as long as the S&B, which I find last very well, which is to say that they still sound very good well into the period in which the D string starts to physically break down and wear through the windings. I would use the S&S (which sound amazing) if it wasn't for this factor.

Windings on S&S, are a softer alloy , maybe just copper, no tin, and silver plated.
same stuff as found wound on D,A,E, classical guitar strings.
