Anyone have an idea what a good price on a used Weber fern would be? Red spruce top, not sure how old, but in good shape.

I probably shouldn't look at it, but can't resist since it's for sale here in town......

Thanks-

Rick

I would guess between $3,500 and $4,000 but I would probably stay on the lower end of $3,500. Just a guess.

$4K seems honest

$3500 would be a good deal. About the age, the fern has not been around for that long so I think it would be only a few years old. I love mine! Nick:)

whoo hoo, I'm going show this thread to my wife, got mine for quite a bit less than $3500. She didn't and still doesn't believe I could always get my money back plus a few dollars (hopefully)
Wish I could give it a better workout, but I'm trying! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

List price on the Fern at the Weber website is $6,000. I've only had mine for about a year but I paid under 4,500 for a new one. Greg Boyd has a new one at around $4600 if that's any help.

A used Weber Fern is a good deal. Terrific workmanship, nice sound, Very much like a Flatirin F5 artist or a Gibson Fern. Mine plays like glass. I hope you find one. Nick

Some guy was selling a new one in the classifieds here a while back, for $350. I think it might have been a scam. He had a great ebay record though. I emailed him and found out it was actually for $350. Too crazy to get involved in.
