What's the best book and/or video for learning a lot of scales on the mandolin.

Guitar is my primary instrument, and everyday as part of my practice I play over 400 two octave scale fingerings of the modes and diatonic 7th arpeggios of the major, harmonic minor, and melodic minor scales. #I also run through a bunch of 3 octave scales and arpeggios. #(all this takes about an hour and a half).

I'd like to do something similar on the mandolin. #Is there a source where someone has really layed out the logical fingerings for the scales, modes, and arpeggios on the mandolin?

When you play on the guitar are you using sheet music or tab? Because obviously if you are using sheet music then use that. But if not go to www.elderly.com and go to mandolins. On the side is a listing of mandolin books. Click on "complete listing" and there you will find exactly what you need. Atleast I hope so. I know there are scale books and music theory books there for mandolin. I hope this helps you out some.

I have Blumenstengel Scale and Arpeggio Studies for Violin, Book 2, published by Carl Fischer. This one covers the first 3 positions and there is a volume 1 which covers only 1st position.

There are dozens of other scale books for mandolin and violin that wilkl work.

I also highly recommend 35 Progressive Mandolin Etudes, op. 6 (Solo) by Sol Goichberg, availabe from Plucked String (http://www.mandolincafe.com/strings/) (PSE 010 - Price: $10.00). It is not solely scales but gets you around on the instrument.
