Hey, I have been talking about 1 mic recording, and really liked what I heard about the KSM 44 and the AT4033...what about a more budget item: Berhinger B-2Pro at about $150.00? Or the Rode NT-2A at $399.00? Any info? Thanks, dy.

Well, it's just another Chinese mic housed in a Neumann-wannabee package that may-or-may-not deliver the goods...

Usually with these LDC mics, you get what you pay for...
They tend to be very harsh in the high-mids, but for a C-note can look nice.... # #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

(There are some bargains in the Chinese SDC market, however....).

Here's (http://groups-beta.google.com/group/rec.audio.pro/search?group=rec.audio.pro&q=Behringer+B-2+Pro+microphone&qt_g=1&searchnow=Search+this+group) some info on the mic for you to peruse....

I chime in: Rode, is Australian manufactured, I have the [small D]NT5 pair, fine quality and well priced due to automation of production rather than cheap hand labor.
find one and try it out, its Your ears... http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Yeah...I saw something about R0DE. I think it was the
NT2-A @ $399.00 that had sparked my interest. Any scoop on this one? Thanks, dy.

I can't coment on the mic but my band has used Berhinger stuff (we have 3 mixers, F/X, compressors, Gates, Crossovers etc.)for 4 1/2 years and we play out almost every weekend. we have never had any trouble.
