When I first found the Cafe there was a very nice fellow here who posted under the name "Mikey2". #We became meail friends after we found ourselves competing on a Laura Ratcliff mandolin on Ebay. He won, and I contacted him out of curiosity, and we stayed in touch ever since, until he died about a year later. #During that time we also found ourselves bidding on the mandola pictured there on the lower left. #Once again, Mikey2 won. #He was extremely pleased with it saying it had a very deep masculine tone to it and a wonderful playing neck. #I contacted Rev. James during that time and he had a similar flat-top instrument for sale with a sweeter voice but I was not interested. I believe Rev. James told me he was moving to Vermont and would be closing up shop for awhile during the relocation. Possibly he's back in business again. #Thanks for the heads-up.
"Mikey2" bought this instrument. He also gambled on Driftwood #2 and was really pleased with that too.
