he was playing a fairly inexpesive Elven when I saw him this past summer at a festival....and was making it sing

I actually think that the Elven is an import that is marketed here by his family.....played a couple of nice F models....nice bang for the buck, and they were finished rather nicely

What mandolin is on the main page at JoshPinkham.com? That same picture is used on Elvenwood's site but the headstock has been masked out. I'm thinking it isn't an Elvenwood. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I think he was playing a Kelley for a while. I wonder how his Triggs is doing these days?

I'll be a good webmaster and pop in here ;)

Josh's main mandolin is a Skip kelley, but he has & plays several other, verrry nice mandolins. It's put best on the Elvenwood site:

"Nowadays Josh Pinkham can play any mandolin
that he chooses....and he owns several high end mandolins.

But Josh learned to play on an "Elvenwood" F model mandolin and he got good....really good."

The "setup" page is coming... hopefully it will be up with the next rev of the site (in the next month or so).

The last time I played with him he was playing a Dude and a Duff H4 mandola. But, it's been a while. I can't imagine him lettin loose of that Dudenbostel. It sounds fantastic!

Further, when I first met him when he was about 9 or 10, he was playing a Flatiron a model.

Josh had the Dude on loan for a while. There's a clip of him playing that he graciously allowed me to put on my "MySpace" page. You can hear it here...

I hope that link worked...
