Anybody know the kind of spruce top on this mandolin? I talked to somebody who said it is spruce, and reportedly Collings doesn't tell if the top is adirondack, sitka, or whatever. Also, has anybody heard a comparison between this model and the Collings MT2?

There's one at Gryphon right now. It's on hold but I'm going to try to get there and try it before it's gone.

Hey Jim, if you get to play it let me (us) know what you think. For over $2,000 more than the Collings MT2 the O'Brien model should sound and handle really great!
