Glad to see Greg Boyd as a sponsor. I bought my Weber
from him and love it. I enjoyed talking with Greg on the
phone and his customer service is first class.

I, too, was glad to see that. I commented on a recent thread that he runs the best Internet music store around, and several people agreed. I've never met the man, but I've never heard a negative word spoken of him. Great to see him involved in supporting this fine resource.

I know Greg Boyd personally, and he is a great guy. If there was one negative thing to say about him,I'd have to say I sure miss jamming with him. He used to play a lot more than he does now. That was before he made selling musical instruments his trade. Now when I see him at a festival, he's at work!

yeah, it's easy for you all to talk about greg, and how great he, and his store are. well, i live witin walking distance of greg's, and let me tell you, it can be TORTURE! i have never gone there without seeing something that i would really like to have. greg and his staff's easygoing attitude and good prices don't help, either. "do you like that? why don't you take it home and try it out, and let me know what you think?" when i tell my wife that i'm going over to greg's, her eyes just glaze over.
so count your blessings all you mando-nuts. it can be very difficult consentrating on life when you know that there's so many great mandolins, guitars, dobros, etc right down the street.

Mandorose is not kidding about going to Greg's. Before I moved to Montana, I came out here to visit a friend. I knew about Greg's store, so called him when we passed through Missoula. When I left (many hours later), I had a new Prucha "to try" for the week we were in MT. You can't resist this guy! He carrries great stuff and makes it tons of fun to deal with him. I'm due for a trip to Missoula to see him....Dang! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I live perhaps 200 miles from Missoula and find that I still am not entirely safe from the allure of "Greg Boyd's House of Fine Instruments". #Doesn't help to have the little pick-holder/Key-Chain that proclaims "Greg Boyd..." in my hand every time I climb into my car. #In all seriousness, hats off to Greg and staff--fine, fine outfit.

Good folks in every way. John, if you get too attached to any mando at Gregs, you can send it to Seattle for a couple of weeks "evaluation". Then I can tell you "buy it".

I've bought a couple vintage instruments at the House of Fine Instruments and would not hesitate to do it again.:)
