I stopped by Fat Sound Guitars in Raleigh this afternoon to pick up some strings, and took the opportunity to play a flat finish F model as well as a flat finish A model. First of all, seeing them on the web doesn't do them justice. These instruments are absolutely gorgeous. The fit/finish and attention to detail is incredible. I only played them for a few minutes but I can tell they have a fantastic sound. I think my Gibson A9 and the other Gibsons I've played (at least to me) had more of a bluegrass sound to them, but they had very good volume and tone. I couldn't tell the difference in sound between the A and the F. Anyway, just thought I would post. If anybody is in the area, they should drop by. They also have some nice Mid Mo's there and a Weber Sweet Pea.
