Does anyone know specifics on Sam's setup? I know of the Monel steel strings he uses and endorses, but i can't seem to find any info on string height, picks, etc.
Thanks!

A fellow by the name of Harry Sparks in Covington, Ky. takes care of Sam's mando. You might do a Google search and find a contact for him and ask. Harry does all the repair work and set up on Hoss.
Brad Meinerding is now working with Harry. You may be able to contact him on FaceBook: http://www.facebook.com/index.php?lh=572af06e3e96ec3a7bd4526152643881&eu=DmJygfZvf_-rFIH6EuwX4Q#!/bradley.meinerding

How cool is that?....Great to see a legend like Sam talk shop for all of us regular musicians. Also great to see how a true artist also knows his stuff about gear he uses and doesn''t just leave it to the guitar/mandolin techs to deal with. I get the feeling a lot of big time musicians either wouldn't know all that or at least wouldn't take time to share all of that.
