Well, finally got the KF Quartz, and I'm lovin' it! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif However, I would like to get something more solid to protect my new toy. Any recommendations for a hard case for this odd-shaped beauty?

I have been there and done that. If you want a case you can get cone from Cedar Creek Company;they make the Breedlove cases. Another option is a shaped F style case;they will work but no room for gear. Cedar Creek has a site. Lp
The $65 case from Stewart-McDonald is what I used for a Quartz KO.

I use the travelite f case...ultralite and very sturdy. I have fallen (don't ask) full force on mine with no damage to the case or instrument. Don't ask about collateral damage to moi! Probably saved me from a couple of broken wrists and nose, however.
