Should I tell him, or just wait for Charlie's lawyer to handle it? (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10179&item=3769674400&rd=1)
Shouldn't it be obvious to anyone that you can't sell somebody else's trademarked stuff?

It doesn't look very convincing, that's for sure.

Certainly one of the most unconvincing ebay postings I have seen.

From my understanding, if you're restoring a gibson it's totally ok to reproduce or obtain that material and install it. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong...

I think it would certainly be acceptable for you to make your own, and perhaps OK to commission one to be done. I don't think it would be legal to make one and sell it.

Well, most of the custom inlay artists make them and sell them. Some of them are very big names, so I would assume that they know about the legal implications or have permission from Gibson to reproduce them.
