MANDOLINMYSTER

This weekend I "exchanged" the original aluminum bridge on a 1921 F4 with a Randy Wood Loar bridge,(which I have used on several other mandolins, great bridges!) and to me what a great improvement. The tone is much warmer, stronger, just all around "good'er" and of course I could get the string height were I like it. The original bridge saddle was all the way down and still had somewhat high action, and I didn't want to fuss(screw up) an original bridge. So after 83 years of producing a certain tone ,I gave this beauty #a new voice, and best of all, its reversable http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
