Just a warning to be careful about this item...

It had a 7 day listing. I bid on it and 24 hours before the end of the auction, the seller pulled my bid and then two hours later re-listed it. Originally it had a $200 starting bid (which I bid) with a $500 Buy It Now. The new listing requires a $500 initial bid with a $700 Buy It Now.

If you go to the description in the original auction and then go to the "See Buyers Other Auctions" you will see the new listing and description of how he came to own this mando. Read the questions in the first auction and his answers. He's blowing smoke if you compare the two.

I'm new here so if I did a no-no posting this here, I apologize. I just wanted others to be aware of the background on this auction and how the seller does business. Don't want anyone to get burned.

I don't think so. You might be looking at the initial auction. If you go to "View Sellers Other Items" (or something like that) you can get to the new auction.

I saw this one a little while ago and he claimed to have bought it in the mid sixties. According to the serial number it was made in 1983. I guess he paid for it and then waited about twenty years for the Flatiron company to start up and then took delivery. He also calls it an A5 model 1N. Folks the A5 style mandoloin is nowhere near a 1N. This guy is either bogus or just doesn't have a clue as to what he's selling. Either way I don't want to do business with him.
