Howdy, newbie here --

Would someone point me to the posts on homemade thickness calipers. I put the search in every way I can think of without any success. Thanks

Thanks, Chris ... went and looked. The ingenuity of people around one concept never fails to greatly impress!! Won't be letting go of $150 - 200 for a commercial one; money that is much better put to use for tools I can't make so easily (gouges, chisels etc). I'm actually a newbie enrollee in the world of violin making, but you folks are a very fun and inventive group from what little I've seen so far. Thanks, again.
