View Full Version : Baroque mandolin/mandolino
I have been noticing a bit more interest in our family of instruments at the Internet Lute Society:
http://www.InternetLuteSociety.com/
I am just now having a chance to read some back emails and noticing quite a bit of discussion starting to develop. Thought you all should know.
OK -- how did I manage to get this topic to post twice?
and how do I delete one of them?

I don't know.
...But under what topic did you find mandolin discussion? #The topic appears ocassionally via Dartmouth's e-mail lute list, mostly because Eric, David Rebuffa, and I subscribe.
Eugene,
IThe most recent mentions came through as "News" -- the topic was "Medieval Intabulations Site" or something close to that.
If I recall, there was a discussion of quill plectra that generated the original reference to mandolino and then some others chimed in about their interest. It isn't much, I know, but at least some interest/activity is showing up.

I visited the Internet Lute Society and found one note asking for info on the French mandore. I replied privately to the poster and invited him to come join us here.

I found the mandolin/mandolino reference in "News: Medieval Intabulations Site," posted there, and invited the lot of interested parties here.
