where are the jams in Mass.?

looking for info on where the good jams are in Springfield, MA area. Wife just took job there which leaves me in the position of finding a new band and a new place to jam.
Coming from Salt Lake City, where the Intermountain Acoustic Music Association took good care of its people as far providing concerts and places to jam. Is there an equivalent org. in Mass?
Please tell me there's decent music in springfield... hartford, CT , even albany??

stone's public house in ashland, ma has a bluegrass jam and celtic swssion each week as well as a blues night. the natick center for the arts (tcan) has a folk open mic. i host an open mic in holliston, ma- not genre specific - just acoustic music (not a jam, but a true open mic where folks are willing to jam together quite often.)there are probably things happening closer to the worcester/springfield area, but the above are some fun possibilities depending upon your interests.

the thursday night bluegrass jam here on the cape is held at a different resident each week. we dont find out where its at till 630 pm on thursday and go at 930. till 130 am. all musicians welcome. Food desert alcohol. Its great! email me if you want more info. Its usually in chatam ma.
