Someone is selling a set of 14 pictures of Bill Monroe's mandolin being repaired in the Gibson shop. Is that our Charlie we see working on it?

They are indeed WalMart copies of the set of photos that Charlie D gave to Monroe. They are being sold by a former "live-in" girlfriend that Monroe gave the photos to as he didn't want to be reminded of the painful incident.
She has been selling lots of rare Monroe memoribilia on ebay.

I picked those photos up today off Ebay. I'll let you know what they look like when they arrive. For $20, couldn't pass up that bit of history...

I'd love to have copies of these, the originals were lost long ago. Some of them I took and some (obviously the ones of me) I didn't.
It's amazing what one can lose after 20 years.

Feel free to post some here, if Charlie/Gibson don't mind--I assume that's where copyright would lie.
Is there an account anywhere of exactly (or approximately) was involved in the rebuild?

Oh by the way, a person cannot sell "copies" of a photographer's photographs, just because the photos themselves were given to them. All that they own are the pictures themselves and not the "rights" to those pictures. If these are "copies", what this person is selling, is illegal. If the photographer is known, he should sue.
