Putnam mandolin

I bought the Putnam Mandolin that was in the classifieds. I'm tickled to death with it.

Just wondering if there are any others floating around.

I emailed Jamie re that Putnam several months ago. It was located about 35 miles west of here. The pic he sent did not resemble a pic at all. I could not find anything out re the builder other than what Jamie told me. How does it play and sound? Lp

I'm no pro by any means but, It plays great. The action actualy needs to be raised just a bit. The tone is excellent. Not quite as woody as I would like but It is still a little green. I think with a good bit of playing it will open up. I had a few folks compare the tone equal to a Flatiron. I have not put it side by side yet.

Yea, the first pics Jamie sent me where kinda rough. He was great to deal with thought.
