Does anybody know who wrote "Last Letter Home" on Sam Bush's "Late as Usual"? I only have a taped copy, and I need to credit it; no luck with internet searches. Thanks.

Surprisingly (to me, at least), it seesm to have been first recorded by The Amazing Rhythm Aces and I believe was written by one or more members of the band. It is also on an older Gibson Brothers CD (nice job, too) that I don't have near me at the moment.
I think it was Butch McDade, one of the members of the Amazing Rythm Aces. One of my favorite songs. I sometimes use a third verse (figure such a good song needs to be a bit longer), one that I wrote, and one I heard performed at a festival.

It is on the Gibson Brothers album "Another Night of Waiting" (Hay Holler HH-1341) and credited to B. McDade and J.H. Brown, Jr. It seems to be listed through both ASCAP and BMI. Nice job by the Gibson Brothers, but no mandolin on the cut.
