... followed hot on the heels of MAS - got it bad. mostly, i've been able to satisfy these cravings on a home-made, DIY basis. mach-1 is a simple leather strap with two holes punched in to allow two pieces of leather thong to be pushed through, forming loops for scroll and button - easy-peasy. mach-2 is what i have on my loar now - three pieces of leather thong: two of which have looped ends - using a mini-hangman's knot - with the third forming a whipping knot to join the two looped pieces together. my old scout manual came in extremely handy - can't believe i still have it

Nice job Bill. I'm jealous of those boy scout knot skills. By coincidence I finished a new strap today, the first I have made in a few months. I'm very happy with it; more by luck than good judgement, the range of sizes it can fit means I can use it either over one shoulder or around my back over both shoulders.

There is immense satisfaction to be derived from making such things; I know I'll never have the talent or patience to build an instrument, but at least I can make things to hang instruments from.....

Yeah, that one looks good. I went through SAS many years ago, tried em all - cheapies, one from James Alan Shelton, made my own. Then, I found the roo.
