I know Thomastik gets alot of mention around here, but has anyone ever tried the even more expensive Pyramids?

I have tried the TIs and have a set of Pyramids on my electirc guitar now. It's my first time and they are only about $11.
For that kind of string, I like them but will go back to round wound next time just for more brightness from the pickup.
They feel a lot like the TIs -- again this is guitar. If it were me, I would go with the TIs. Again, I haven't had the Pyramids on my mandolin, but I liked the TIs so much (on my mandola too), I would stick with that. Especailly if you are talking $30. If I had $30 I weren't using and someone came to my door with the Pyramids, they are good enought to try. But, I wouldn't go to the effort to order them and if I only had $30 or so for strings, I'd go with the TIs.
