Howdy Folks!

I'm interested in aquiring a hard shell case to accomodate both my F9 and my HD28.

Does anyone know of anyone that is making this dual case?

I've seen them for Violin/Mandolin, but not for Manodlin/Guitar.

Suggestions? Ideas?

Regards,
Dan

I would imagine that it would be pretty unwieldy. I have a mandolin fiddle case and don't use that much. It is easier to slingthe mandolin over my shoulder in its tennis bag and hand carry the fiddle.

However., if you have your heart set on a case, speak to the folks at Modern Case Company (http://www.moderncase.com/). They make lightweight custom cases and their prices are pretty reasonable.

I would contact Rob Anderson at robanderson316@lycos.com
He recently made me a double mandolin case which I am thrilled with. Rob was a great guy to work with and I think he would welcome the challenge. A bandmate saw my case and said he wanted a double guitar case. Now that I can't imagine!

You should look into a fork lift to move it. ;-)

Hi Dan,
I can build you one but you might want to think about it. I made one for myself for a dreadnought and an A style and very rarely use it due to the size.
It is pretty cool however and always gets comments when I do bring it out.
Give me a call.

Modern Case Company will build you any kind of instrument case you want and put wheels on it if you like. They seemed real friendly on the one encounter I had with them. A lot of people on the board here have had them make single mando cases for them. Their site is moderncase.com

I goof around in an 'acoustic trio'. . ..

I play mostly mandolin with these guys.

I take two mandolins to our gigs, I like to have a quick back-up handy.... I also take an acoustic guitar as I play some guitar with this group as well.

Three cases is too much. . .

You guys have talked me out of a combo guitar and mandolin case.

Rob, I looked at your pics. I think I may start thinking along the lines of a double mandolin case. I will be in touch. . . .

Thanks for the info on Supercase. . . . they are nice. I think I'll try out one of Rob's custom cases. I like the idea of doing business with people I post with. .

Thanks a bunch !

Perhaps,
You could add a minibar /ponykeg fridge in the combination, it would be good for a laugh.
It would already need wheels as it is.
