I would like to find a decent set-up/repair mando luthier in the Greater Washington DC Area. This is for a buzzing problem on a fixed-bridge beater/travel mandolin, so I am just looking for basic competency and reasonable price. Thanks in advance for any leads you can provide.

You might consider Jim Bumgardner in White Oak (MD rt 650 north of 495 beltway), 301-622-4397.

I am and hour and a half outside of DC but if I can help, give a yell.

John,
You can trust Don, he's a great guy.

No personal exerience with either but I've heard good things about Melodee Music (Leesburg and Chantilly) and Picker's Supply (Fredericksburg). #Those might be good choices if you are on the Virginia side of DC.
