well after doing some research. I've decided that I am going to ditch the idea of getting an MK and go for an Eastman. Either the md515f or the md605a as soon as I have the cash( anyone need an electric drum kit?) http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif I talked to a lady at giannaviolins and I must say she was super friendly.

I hope not. It's a drag to have to go on blind faith, but when you live in a one horse town, what are you gonna do?

I had an MK before, and it was decent. From what I've seen and read here, I think the Eastmans are likely a good bit better. Certainly better wood, fit and finish.

Steve & Gianna just shipped my 615 Friday They have been wonderful folks to work with from the other side of the country. Kind of feels like they are right around the corner.

Just to let everyone know, Bernunzio is selling two Eastman MD805's for 875 a piece. Go for it before I do.
