My duo partner and I got fooling around with this old Temptations hit and decided to record it. The mandolin is an '05 Randy Wood and the guitar is an '80 Larivee.

Very, very nice. Clean and classy instrumentation throughout and very strong vocals.
Very professional sounding and quite impressive.
Oh, and the mandolin playing is superb.
Have you folks released any recording?

Nice indeed. For a companion piece you could do Mary Wells' My Guy with you on vocals. It is great to play behind a great singer though, isn't it? The Wood records really nicely, wonder what a Mowry would sound like. :) Where are you recording? It sounds good.

Thanks, Ed. We haven't released anything. We're actually in the process of looking for band members. The duo is mostly for little things like farmer's markets and coffeehouses. It's pretty casual, but necessary because these small gigs keep you out playing but the money only allows for two people.

Yeah, this one felt pretty easy. There's a few places I'd do again but we just did it for fun. Rhonda did it and then called me up to play my tracks. It was just on a little Boss home unit. Apex and AKF large diaphram mics.

The Mowry. I know, it's going to be a tough choice. The Wood is a great mandolin. But I just have a feeling about the Mowry and I have to see if I'm right, even though I know it's going to kill me to part with one of them.
