Hi all! Just wanted to stop in a introduce myself. My name is Tony and I am addicted to the mandolin! Actually I have played guitar/bass for years and always enjoyed it.

I started looking for a inexpensive mandolin and bought it! I have been working on learning chords, playing scales and a chop.
I am getting a Morgan Monroe MM100SB for Christmas as a step up from the Rogue A style I original purchased. I am very stoked about it and look forward to getting my paws on it!
I plan our visiting and posting here for tips often. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of the forum.

Think I will go practice some and when I finish I will practice some more....:)

I became addicted one year ago this month and I still practice at least one hour per day! Enjoy the ride!

Allow me to throw my welcome into the mix too. I hope you enjoy your new Morgan Monroe when it arrives. I continue to get hours of pleasure from my mando including 2-3 hours today jamming to a bunch of You Tube videos of Bill Monroe, the Del McCoury Band, & a few others...:-) Loads of great mando lessons & other finds on You Tube as you launch yourself into it.
Peace,
Jim

Ha ha Jamie. There's also the eight-step program (do, re, me, fa, so, la, ti, do)--we're all prone to relapse, so don't be surprised if you repeat any of the steps..
