A few months ago I had to sell my Weber Yellowstone. Needless to say I missed my Weber, and playing the mando.

Bought a Johnson on eBay fof $70, thinking it would hold me over till I saved the $$ to get another Yellowstone, etc. Well, after a few days with the eBay Johnson, I knew I had to do something.

After reading the messages about the mid-mo mandolins, I visited my local store, played one, and fell in love. It will do me very well. Very nice mandolin. Plays like butter, and it sounds great, and the price was right $495.

I could not be happier. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I go to a slow jam on Mondays at work during lunch, and one of the guys has a mahogany backed MidMo--very nice! A bystander (piano player) liked the sound of our mandos so much he bought a maple backed MidMo! Now we three make very nice music together.

I have a Rosewood body M-4 and I really like it. I usually string it with Martin-Darco lights. Nothing fancy about the instrument, but lovely sound, especially with new strings.

Happy M-1 owner. It will be accompanying me into Rattlesnake Canyon in the area of the old Klondyke ghost town tomorrow.

Goes where my other friends won't.

I have an M-11 as 'second fiddle' to my Weber. Sorry, you had to let your Yellowstone go, but I certainly understand how a Mid-mo can step in as a competant 'understudy'. Enjoy.
