Hey everyone, Due to a new job I am having to quit taking lessons for a while. Would anyone in the Columbia, SC area like to try to get together and practice. I have been playing a little over a year and am having troubles finding people to practice with. If you are interested email me at colebe@mailbox.sc.edu

Brian,

I am about an hour away in Augusta, Ga. I have a fantastic teacher here that may be worth the trip once or twice a month. In Columbia get yourself down to Bill's Pickin' Parlor on Meeting Street (Hwy 1). Bill will have some contacts. Other than that you might want to look up a guy by the name of Gary Oxley, he works with the USC Navy ROTC program. One heck of a good picker.

What kind of music do you want to play? I lived in Colatown for 15 years but am gone now. I still have some friends there who play, but not much in the way of bluegrass. Do they still do the Irish thing on Sundays at the Public House on Devine St.?

Loren, Bill's is where I am having to stop taking lessons. Also, I play mainly bluegrass. Thanks for all the help.
