Good customer service goes a long way to building customer loyalty. #Tracy Hoeft at Michael Kelly does the little things that make a huge difference.

I have a Michael Kelly mandolin. #I lost some of the little
rubber grommets that kept the strings from resonating
below the bridge. Also, I lost one of those
microscopic decorative brass screws at the end of the
peghead.

Hardware stores didn't stock grommets or screws that
size. #

I emailed Tracy to ask where I could find them and what size I should specify. #In almost no time Tracy replied that he should be able to scrounge up some spares and would have the mailed out to me within a week. #Within a week they were delivered. #

Not only do I have a mandolin that exceeded my expectations, but it's backed with by a level of service second to none. #Thanks Tracy.

I'll throw in a thanks also. I have a MK mando, and love it. But I did buy a guitar from him, and had some trouble with it. He sent me a new one, after a little complaining. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I've had a similar experience with Tracy...he really is interested in good customer service from what I can tell.

I bought a multi pack of grommets at Radio Shack this week. Had 7 of the wee grommets in there. Part number is 64-3025. Cost was $1.99

Tracy is great. buying a MK was a good experience for sure. reminds me of paula from weber. just good people.

Customer service is excellent not to mention the fact, that for the price MK mandolins are hard to beat. I have one of the first MKs over 2 years old now and it has opened up real nice.

I bought a solid top mando from MK almost 2 years ago, upgraded to a solid model and just ordered an Allen tailpiece. Tracy answers every e-mail promptly and honestly, plus he never talks down to beginners (a big plus for me). He is a model of excellent customer service.

Don't have an MK myself... But I've had correspondance with Tracy... TOP customer service...

They are just good people...

I live near the shop in Clearwater, FL. I was able to go in a try several instruments, including guitars and the new at the time oval.. Tracy and Todd were very helpful. Ordered from a local dealer, and got a fine instrument.

Upgraded a couple of other mandos w/ Allen and Grover parts from their custom shop.
