"John Hartford...Wild Hog in The Red Bush..and other songs you may not have heard." http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

No stuff though. This is a great "practice" cd, as well as a great listen too. Mr. Hartford plays all these old fiddle tunz, and they're mostly in first position keys, G,D,C,F. Great to jam along working on scales, and chords too. Super for chop practice also. A friend turned me on 2 days ago, and I've been thru it at least 3 times, and can work on sumpin, in just about every one of the 19 tunz. Man, I even found a few of the medelies. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

It's an old cd...1996, but should still be around.

I miss him already.

Does he do that "singing commentary" thing of his on that one? Hartford was a great musician, but I hate it when does that on his CDs. I would listen to him a lot more if I could find recordings of him where he didn't do that.
