Sometimes (reare recently), when I try to access mandolincafe.net I get a request timed out, but all requests to mandolincafe.com go through no problems, or vice versa.
Is this something related to the DNS services or does it happen during maintenance of either part of the site? Just wondering.

.net and .com are different servers at different providers, and for a reason. That's why you'll virtually never see them both down at the same time. All ISPs have a little bit of technical glitch and down time on occasion but keeping them separate prevents them both from being down when those rare issues occur.

I've been working on it a bit in the last few days GM, that might be what you saw (I'm on London time as well, so if I work on it in the morning when the US is asleep it tends to impact Europe..)
