View Full Version : Can you just get a tailpiece cover?

Dear NG,

I have a missing tailpiece cover for my Kentucky KM-160s. It should be no big deal to replace (i.e., just slide in on), but where do I get one? It is not a matter of price - I think I can buy a whole tailpiece for $10 or $15.00 (similar quality), but I hate to buy more than I need (i.e., I only need the cover and it needn't say Kentucky).

So, maybe one of you luthiers have a box of spare parts and I could send a self-addressed stamped envelope or trade a shoelace mandolin strap for a tailpiece cover? Maybe there is a place that sells replacement covers?

Comments?

Just in case you can’t find someone with a spare, here’s the Saga web site. I’ve talked to them before and they were very helpful and may be able to hook you up with a Kentucky tailpiece cover.
