just curious, why dont we ever see any mandolins by roger siminoff? i know he was the editor of the old pickin' mag and then frets, and also the author of constructing a bg mandolin, and a wealth of knowledge on the loar era gibsons, but i have never seen any of his mandolins. are they out there?
looks like with his vast knowledge he would be able to make some really good instruments.

I believe that Mr. Siminoff manufactures mandolin parts, but not complete instruments

Roger has been sticking with building parts and kits instead of complete instruments. The only two Siminoff mandolins I've seen/played are Roger's... He still has the Mandos he made when writing his books. Very nice too...

Perhaps a lesser known fact about Roger, is that he's one hell of a banjo player. He just sent me some pictures of a gig we played a while back...
