greetings all-
I've been admiring this photo of the Bluegrass Boys onstage from the back of the Bill Monroe anthology album and was wondering if anyone might know more about it - where it was taken, when? It's credited in the liner notes to Les Leverett. #I'd love to find a larger version of it if anyone knows how or where. #thanks

Here's my educated stab at it: It was taken from backstage at the new OpryHouse circa 1975 because the Bluegrass Boys standing in the photo are: Ralph Lewis, guitar; Bob Black, banjo;Kenny Baker, fiddle; and Randy Davis, bass.
Les did a lot of photo work for the Opry.
f5loar - I believe you "nailed' it... you da' man!! Thanks. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Thanks for the informed reply!
After a little Goggle searching, I have also came across a book entitled "Blue Moon of Kentucky: A Journey into the World of Bluegrass and Country Music As Seen Through the Camera Lens of Photo-Journalist Les Leverett" which I believe should offer some more of his photography so I'm going to check it out as well.

I really like that photo. Any chance someone has a larger version of it I can use as my desktop wallpaper?
