No mando content. Yet. I'm listening to Karl Denson's Dance Lesson #2, thinking a lot of this stuff would be awesome on mandolin. There are a lot of flute parts that are right in the mandolin range. I can only noodle along, but I'm wondering if there are any Karl Denson fans out there, and if you've tried to transfer any of it over to mandolin family.

I really like him. Never tried playing it, too busy dancing!

Hard to beat Karl Denson. He puts on one of the most energetic live shows you could ever see. He definitely knows where the groove lives.

I guess this qualifies as mando content since you're talking about playing his stuff on a mandolin. Thanks for bringing him up! :)

Love him. I just really dig the groove of his band (well the Greyboy Allstars too). The fact that his name is almost the same as mine adds to the fun - his initials are KD and mine are CB the rest of the letters are the same.

I was somewhat surprised to see that he played "Floydfest" this year.

There's more mandolin content than you think. There's an episode of Studio Jams with Karl Denson, Chris Thile and a few other musicians. It's really cool to see Thile solo over a Denson tune.
