Almost time for a new mando and would really like a two point.Have been considering the Bighorn as I am a huge fan of Webber mandolins, mostly due to the incredible build quality I have seen.Wondering if anyone out there owns or has played this mando?I am mostly interested in Bluegrass and fiddle tunes and thought I would get one with tone bars/F holes in a matt blond finish. Is this mando closer to an F or an A in volume, and what is the tone/volume like on the standard D soundhole model?

I have one on my radar as well. I'm ordering mine with a tradition oval hole.

I sold a beautiful on on Ebay. I think that you, grandmainger, bid on it, or at least asked some questions about it. It was a great mando. John

John,
I think it might have been me http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Could you give us a bit more details about sound/tone?

I got a chance to play one yesterday, It had an oval hole. I really liked it alot. It seems like it had a bit deeper tone than the other oval hole webers I have tried. Also the finish was a beautiful brown color that wasn't really a burst. The radiused neck played like butter. The shop wanted $3300 for it. I asked if they would sell it for $2800. Got the impression that it could be had for somewhere around there.

I've never seen any here in the UK. I just looks fabulous! That brown is just yummy!
