I would like to know the date of origin for this instrument. It has a label that has Lyon and Healy at the top of the label and Washburn centered over a NO. 1600 Style C. I appreciate any information that anyone might give me.
Thanks
Jack
Around 1923-4. Second from top of the line model.

I have a C around 1920 it is there bottom of line similar to Gibson A . However structurally they are excellent and very well built. the B{ middle line model} has the symmetrical 2 point body with deco or stair step headstock and the top of line A. Lyon and Healy has a violin scroll headstock and enclosed tuners with either the symmetrical or a- symmetrical body.Lyon and Healy started putting Washburn on label in early 20's from what I have been told.I think they[ the C] cost about $80 to 85 the back in pre 20's times and were in direct competition with the Gibson A3 and A-4. Lyon and Healy early on were built by 3 men 2 on the body and one on the neck and headstock; and they were master violin makers and carvers.., top and back was carved by one man neck and headstock by one and assembly and finish by the 2nd and third . so they are a professional grade and very well built . L and H was very selective of the wood they used ,they bragged they culled through 40 boards before selecting their mandolin material and the wood was dried for literally years, the culls went to lesser instruments, at least that is the rumor. that's may be why they are usually in such good shape still that plus they were very expensive for the times. An early A cost the same as the Gibson Florine F-4 of that era about $125 . I'm from Ms and at that time down hear that was a small fortune for the average person.
