Came across this fantastic example of what two mandolins are capable of. I'll be stealing (ahem...borrowing) some ideas from this 3 1/2 minute lesson.

Appears to be at the Saxon ... how did I manage to miss this show??

Great stuff. Kinda spooky, though ... looks a bit like only a pair of legs and disembodied hands tearing up that Gershwin.

Yes, it was at the Saxon this past February. It was labeled as "Kym Warner and friends."

What's the pickups these guys are using? Anyone know? Sounds pretty good, even on this bad video...

But glad this was caught, along with the Blackberry Blossom jam on the same night. But as I've said elsewhere, I appreciate viewing life in Texas. I'm afraid of crossing the border without a passport, can't speak the language, can't drive on the side of the road they drive on, and am afraid of their women, whom I hear all carry guns (which is why they ask "Lady Be Good". And heck, I live in the US!
