Next weekend is the Fiddler's Convention at Stow House, Goleta, CA (almost Santa Barbara!)

Just had a friend tell me about it a couple of hours ago on the phone. We are going over Friday and stay at his house. Should be fun!

Well this is the 30-something-eth year that they've had this thing. And when they say old-time, they mean it...fiddles (no violins, thanks) and openback banjos abound. We're talking actual old-time music being played. Pretty remarkable and a hell of a lot of fun to play!
