How can I find the year and location my mandolin was made?

The move of Gibson from Kalamazoo MI to Nashville TN was over a ten-year period, 1974-84. You'd need to find someone who knows how that move was staged, to tell when production of a particular mandolin was shifted. What's on your instrument's label?

your best way is to post a photo and serial no. here because dating a mid 70's Gibson anything is tricky. There were many overlaps of serial nos. with the mid to late 60's. You might think you have a mid 70's when in fact it might be a late 60's. Your best experts are here not at Gibson Co.
