I just got a new Breedlove mando yesterday and I'd love to put on an Allen tailpeice. I made a tailpeice change on the other mandolin a year ago with great response with increased volume and some better tone and sustain.

Anyone have a good place to buy one? They tend to be kinda expensive.

Anyone have a similar experience changing their tailpeice?
I think it's the best upgrade I've made on the other mando.
Thanks!

I bought mine straight from Allen. I browsed their website, allenguitar.com, and gave them a call. I got the bronze TR-2 and really like it.

I think First Quality might have some lower prices, but last I looked some of them were backordered.

I bought an Allen tailpiece from Elderly about a month ago. It was around $90.

When I wanted one everyone was back ordered except for Allen. And I didn't find any lower prices on any other web sites.

Rich, I put an Allen tailpiece on my Breedlove Quartz OF and it was money well spent. The screw holes lined up perfectly but I had to drill them a tiny bit bigger. I can't remember where I bought it - I think FQMS, but it was around $90 gold plated.

Of all the major outlets I've searched, FQMS seems to have the best price on the TR2 nickel for $67.50 plus shipping.
